horrible
That boss fight took the length of like 3 fights in the visual novel. And more dramatic in the game version. Here, he just gets shots by a bunch of lasers and Oshtor just punches him two times. And so short.

And his speech felt so forced. Oshtor being partially blinded for a bit was nice but it still felt like there was A LOT less emotion and detail felt in it. Most of the other guys just nod back. Say something.

And where the hell was Munechika's support? Use that Akuruturuka power of yours or something. Or put those cannons to good use or something.

Very little happened in this episode. Pretty much can just be summarized in one sentence. Oshtor's party came to save Uruuru and Saraana but (spoiler)... which unfortunately (spoiler)... that lead to (spoiler)..

thiago pereira • 1 year ago

They rushed all the fight and the plot because the number of episodes, the anime is horrible inferior comparade to the game of course

Toaru • 1 year ago

just cut the op,ed and you have 3 free minutes to use....

Toaru • 1 year ago

TLDR i didnt cry, also play the game

it wasnt so good, they cut lots of stuff like :

1) after haku asked for more power the characters so how "beautiful" his form is and then Jachdwalt told Shinonon and kiwru to remember this and tell all your kids and grandkids about haku life story(was really impactful in the game!!)
2) Fumirul asking haku why he ignores kuon and her feeling
3)in the game the fight was longer and you feel completely different compare to the few seconds it all was
4) haku smile in the end was weak, compare to the VN CG

btw you can find in youtube gamplay videos of lots of scenes from the VN, if you want to check it a bit

Just a passing by bear • 1 year ago

already did
Hakuowlo came back becos Haku kicked him out lol

Trix • 1 year ago

Not my boy Haku. 😞

Kranesh • 1 year ago

I'm very disappointed, this climax was the biggest thing in the VN, not only the battle against Woshis but Haku's transformation and final fate... Haku speaking with everyone else after the mask broke was very emotional in the VN, here? It felt very bland... nice detail on Haku going blind near the end tho.

So yeah... another case of this season butchering an important part of the story, and I'm surprised because as I said this was pretty much the climax of the VN, so seeing this episode rushing and cutting things out wasn't fun at all... only two episodes left tho, so let's how they go.

ramenmen • 1 year ago

Haku losing his sight and searching for Nekone is new, that's a good one. It hurts me again because this scene is not in the VN

the Finance Guy • 1 year ago

Kuon embracing the dark side. Darth Kuon the sith lord.

Forky • 1 year ago

Cut out the secondary transformation even after making him entirely CG anyways, cut out Shinonon outside of existing, downgraded the secondary characters to side characters with no development acknowledged, and put one of the biggest dramatic scenes in the story on fast-forward.

It'd bug me more if this wasn't a path they started on when this season started. Too bad the ass-hats who went ballistic about people judging an anime at any point before the final episode, jumped ship before the last third anyways.

If you still enjoy it, good. Check out the VN later as there is a LOT of skipped content. (Anime being shorter and all)

1:58 Damn!!!

What more can be said, as I said above!?!!

And I did say this series may have a bittersweet ending from the previous ep.

Popalon • 1 year ago

I feel like this show had three opportunities to end already but we keep going.

DarkerDarkness • 1 year ago

Really dont want to complain to much, but its hard to get any emotional at the drame against the pending frustration of how they butchered the entire scene

Arthuras.Magrath • 1 year ago

Out of all the interactions, what I've waited the most to be animated was Haku's interaction with Anju. In my opinion, the episode should've ended after his disappearance at least.

thiago pereira • 1 year ago

So let's start the last fight

Kirigara • 1 year ago

im glad and kinda disappointed of this scene. Glad i get to see it get animated but hella disappointed because they change and cut out some dialogue between some of the character. So good to hear Kimi Ga Tame, i hope they use Towa ni 2016 and musouka 2016 OST.

LMao • 1 year ago

The og "Kimi ga tame" music hit hard, but it felt some detail left out, this scene doesnt hit as hard as it supposed to be. The budget prob gone with that amazing nuclear scene.

Coldplay23 • 1 year ago

it was a nice farewell for someone who hasn't read the source material, i'm sure i'm missing out, but i still enjoyed it. lol kuon is like f the rules

Anonymous • 6 months ago

wait huh? when did kuon's mother died? i thought she's still alive?

BlackReaper23 • 1 year ago

i like how Mikazuchi's Akuruka is equally strong as Haku's and yet he was nowhere to be seen, neither Munechika's power or the entire Tuskur force for only a world ending threat lmao
also Woshis transformation and attacks were horrible

goondlaf • 1 year ago

alr the plot just got stupider at the end. JESUUUUUUUUUSSSSSS

Abby Chan • 1 year ago

same as what I said before they are dragging it too much and squeezing at the same time. I am actually more willing to wait another decade instead of getting it while skipping a lot of good stuff.. but oh well.

TheBigFool • 1 year ago

This was very awesome! I really like how they went with it.

I agree with the VN players because the fight and emotional goodbye were way better.

Kuon's denial was also more intense. Haku's smile was so heartbreaking.

But in the end, this is not new, it's an anime adaptation, and they all cut the important stuff.

The game had so much story. Heck, they cut out the fight with the other guy which bring Haku even closer to the brink a long time ago.

The point has been its that is difficult to make one season of one game. It should be two, but this does not have AOT or Re:Zero's hype to break it into more than one season.

I love the heck out of the game, but it's not the kind of super popular game either.

Most of the fanbase knows it for the first (the first game) and second seasons (The second game) in anime adaptations.

Other games get crappy adaptations of 12 episodes, yet this one had more than 24.

I love the games but I'm surprised it actually was popular enough for each game to have a 24-season adaptation.

I can say yeah, Stein's gate adaptations cut out a lot too but they were still freaking amazing. But in the end its so freaking difficult to make a proper adaptation of the long game and make it into one season.

The only games capable of that are the Fate games, which have so many adaptions and movies. And that is because of how damn popular and budget they have.

I really like this adaptation. It did not do half bad, it was actually very good. Is the game better? Yeah of course it is, but it does not make it a bad adaptation.

But I get the VN players (I call it VN because it basically kind of was). The story and scenes were more powerful in the game. Of course, they were.

I would recommend anyone to play the game. But in the end, was this adaptation so bad? No, not really it was pretty good.

ramenmen • 1 year ago

I hope they at least say a few words lol but no. For example Jawhlwadt or whatever his name is, he tell his daughter to burn this sight into her memories and tell it to all generations to come. And the fact that Ougi realize it's Haku all along, but him playing dumb even at the last moment

Haihi • 1 year ago

I share the sentiments of many of those who commented. It's hard to not be disappointed coming from the VN's but I mean come on, there's only so much you can do with 20 minutes compared to whatever length you want in a VN. Maybe they could've stretched the anime to one more episode, with the one after this being for all the heartfelt dialogue we missed out on.

I however still enjoy whatever they put out despite not being able to live up to the VN, it is a completely different beast of course. It's unfortunate that they have to stick to a "regular" anime format because a full Utawarerumono adaptation with long episodes would be a godsend.

Crash Bandicoot • 1 year ago

i cry

Azureink • 1 year ago

Clearly they are skipping a lot in this anime. But I am still enjoying it.

Allen Walker • 1 year ago

I haven't watch this series yet just the other previous 2 seasons and all the games series. but I just take a quick look only and notice the twin appearance is different. it's seem like the characters got their new design.
by the way from afar and behind the twin look really tall.
